PRE-MADE COVERS

HOW IT WORKS

All of our designs are sold only once. We’re authors too. We understand how important this is.

Changes to the cover: title & author name, subtitles and blurb (if applicable) are all alterable. Blackbird’s Media’s information and logos will be removed upon purchase.
    • All covers are sold as ebook covers by default.
 
    • Final files are in PDF and JPG format at 300dpi. (1800×2700 px / 6×9″)
 
    • Add a paperback format (front, back, & spine) for $65
 
  • Add a hardcover format (front, back, & spine) for $65
Once you purchase this cover, you will receive an email requesting your page count and trim size.

TIMELINE

Once we receive all the needed information, within 3 business days, you will receive an email from us with a proof for your approval.

If you are satisfied with the original proof, you will receive your completed cover design in PDF & PNG format by the next business day. If you have any instructions for revisions,  you will receive the revised cover design in PDF & PNG format within 3 business days.

If you need further revisions, we are happy to accommodate at a rate of $75 per hour

RUSHED TIMELINE

In a panic? We get it. We can usually accommodate and put a cover in your hands within a few hours. Please contact us for pricing.

ADDITIONAL EDITING

Please talk to us when we email you for your book information. We’d love to hear your ideas and give you a quote).

Font effects: Would your title look better if it looked like it was made of stone or glass? Want to see it distressed or made to look like it’s gleaming or glowing? Does it need a shadow? We’re happy to accommodate.

Is the current font too elaborate? Too plain? Too thick? Too formal?, Let us know what you’d like instead.

Font colour – Want more contrast? Less contrast? More colour? Want to make it purple? Let us know.

Over-all coloring – Would the design fit your story better with a warmer tone? Maybe a slight blue cast?

Eye or Hair Color – Sometimes we can make this change and other times we can’t. It depends heavily on the stock image. The same applies to clothing & object colors.

EXTRA INFORMATION

  • Want to use the title that’s already on the book? You’re welcome to it, but please let us know if you’re planning to use it so we don’t use it in our future designs.

  • Don’t hesitate to ask if you’d like to make this cover into a series.

  • Love this cover but haven’t finished your book yet? Just select “please hold the design for me” when you’re selecting your format options and we will hold it for you for up to 12 months.

  • Our pre-made covers are made using stock photography, but we make it a priority to ensure that each design is unique, so while you may see the background image used by some other artist, no one will ever have the same cover as you.

  • If you need further revisions, we are happy to accommodate at a rate of $75 per hour.

  • Pre-made covers can not be sold without the title & author information (aka “just the picture”). This is a violation of stock licensing.

  • Please make sure that all information you provide to us is accurate and free from errors.

  • Please note that all sales are final.

Our pre-made covers are made using stock photography, but we make it a priority to ensure that each design is unique, so while you may see the background image used by some other artist, no one will ever have the same cover as you.
If you need further revisions, we are happy to accommodate at a rate of $75 per hour.
Pre-mades can not be sold without the title & author information (aka “just the picture”). This is a violation of stock licensing.
Finally, the following changes are not available for pre-made covers, due to licensing, stock and other concerns. These changes include (but aren’t limited to):

  • Advanced photo manipulation
  • Incorporating additional stock / elements
  • Mirroring a cover by another author and/or designer

Love this cover but haven’t finished your book yet? Once you purchase this cover, we will hold it for you for up to 12 months.
All sales are final. This includes deposits and scheduling fees.
